Nov 1, 2024 at 5:23 PMAs part of its strategic direction to expand its presence in the German market, Savino Del Bene has announced the acquisition of the Hamburg-based company Seabridge Transport GmbH. This step is part of the growth strategy of the multinational freight forwarding and logistics company, which thereby strengthens and expands its position in Hamburg, one of Germany’s most important logistics locations.
(Hamburg/Florence) Hamburg, previously only the administrative headquarters for Savino Del Bene’s activities in Germany, will now also become the company’s fully operational base, enabling it to offer the entire range of core products and services from Savino Del Bene.
“Seabridge is a perfect fit for Savino Del Bene,” says Andreas Kujawski, Managing Director of Savino Del Bene Germany. “Especially in sea freight, Seabridge is strong in imports, while Savino Del Bene excels in exports. This not only significantly increases our sea freight volume but also makes us the ideal partner for container shipping lines, which will now find a reliable partner for equipment repositioning in Savino Del Bene.” Oliver Foessleitner, Managing Owner of Seabridge: “Savino Del Bene, with its global freight forwarding network, is the ideal platform to ensure the further growth of our Hamburg organization. Two owner-managed, high-performance air and sea freight forwarders are growing together.”
Opportunities in the German Market Expanded
In the year of Savino Del Bene’s 125th anniversary, the acquisition of Seabridge strengthens the company’s presence in the region and creates new synergies to drive growth and expand opportunities in the German market.
