14. January 2025The Geis Group can implement the acquisitions of the Gras Group and the International Freight Forwarding Krüger as planned: The antitrust authorities have now approved the takeovers. With the antitrust clearance, the acquisition of all shares of the Gras Group by the Geis Group officially comes into effect on January 1, 2025.
The Geis Group can now integrate the Gras locations in Neuwied, Polch, Mannheim, Frechen, and Kerpen into its network. This strengthens the company’s position in economically significant regions of Western Germany and simultaneously consolidates its role within the piece goods cooperation IDS.
Geis network in Central Germany noticeably expanded
The takeover of the Göttingen locations of the forwarding company Krüger has also been approved by the authorities. The locations are scheduled to transfer to the ownership of the Geis Group on April 1, 2025, and will henceforth operate under the name Geis Krüger Internationale Spedition GmbH. This integration will noticeably expand the Geis network in Central Germany. Starting in 2026, the locations are also to be integrated into the IDS system.
