Foundation Shipping Location Germany Increases Funding Contributions
6. February 2025At the end of January, a ceremonial handover of 14 Actros L with the new ProCabin took place at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth to Tevex Logistics GmbH. The logistics company from North Rhine-Westphalia specializes in refrigerated transport and supplies the food retail sector across Germany. The vehicle handover is the first step in a comprehensive renewal of the company’s fleet.
(Wörth am Rhein/Rheda-Wiedebrück) The order totals 150 Actros L, which will be delivered this year, marking a milestone in the long-standing partnership between Tevex and Mercedes-Benz Trucks. An additional 50 Actros L are an option. “Our relationship with Mercedes-Benz Trucks is more than just a business relationship. It is characterized by trust, continuous exchange, and a shared passion for innovations. With the new Actros L ProCabin, we are opting for vehicles that impress not only with their outstanding technology but also with their unique appearance,” explained Dirk Mutlak, Managing Director of Tevex Logistics GmbH. “These vehicles are not only visual eye-catchers, but they also provide us with the technologies to make our business even more efficient, safer, and more sustainable.”
Eye-Catcher is the New ‘ProCabin’ Driver’s Cabin
The new Actros models are distinguished not only by the striking white-red Tevex branding but also bring a wealth of innovations. The biggest eye-catcher is the new ‘ProCabin’ driver’s cabin, which reduces fuel consumption through improved aerodynamics, thus contributing to increased efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions. Additionally, with the use of Fleetboard, consumption remains constantly in focus. Fleetboard provides real-time data on usage, driving behavior, and the status of the trucks, offering intelligent networking of drivers, fleet, and orders.
For their daily routes, the logistics company also wishes for the highest safety standards for drivers and road traffic, relying on the safety assistance systems from Mercedes-Benz Trucks. With the emergency braking assistant Active Brake Assist 6 and the turning assistant Active Sideguard Assist 2, the trucks offer safety assistance systems that go beyond legal requirements and can perform automated braking on pedestrians and cyclists. These systems can significantly enhance the safety of drivers as well as other road users and reduce the risk of accidents.
“For us, it is not only important to have safe and powerful trucks but also those that support our sustainability goals. The modern diesel trucks are an important part of our strategy to reduce CO2 emissions while we simultaneously gain initial experiences with e-trucks,” Mutlak continued.
Long-standing Partner in Driving Trials
Tevex Logistics GmbH has been a long-standing partner in driving trials, including for battery-electric truck models from Mercedes-Benz Trucks. This additional collaboration demonstrates the company’s commitment to actively shaping the transformation in the transport sector and testing and introducing the latest technologies.
