Austrian Post Sees Significant Growth in 2024
Mar 9, 2025 at 7:06 PMThe European Cargo Alliance of International Forwarders (ELVIS) AG is launching a new transport concept with the ELVIS South East Asia Link (SEAL): Together with APX Logistics Solutions, the forwarding alliance will now conduct container transport between Europe and Southeast Asia for its partner companies.
(Alzenau) This provides them with the opportunity to tap into new markets while benefiting from fixed freight rates and transparent tracking. Export services to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam are offered, while import transports to Europe from all over Southeast Asia are possible. Additionally, shipments can be handled by air freight if needed.
(Alzenau) “With the ELVIS South East Asia Link (SEAL), we enable our partners to have cost-effective import and export solutions for Southeast Asia – one of the most economically dynamic and fastest-growing regions in the world,” says Nikolja Grabowski, board member of ELVIS AG. With the new concept, the forwarding alliance aims to support its partner companies in entering new markets: “Through ELVIS SEAL, forwarders can significantly expand their service portfolio, acquire new customers, and position themselves more broadly as companies. This diversification strengthens their resilience and provides them with a significant competitive advantage in the demanding logistics industry.”
Typically, transport costs are divided by different trade clauses (International Commercial Terms; Incoterms) in contracts between exporters and importers and are proportionately paid by the sender and receiver. However, in addition to sea freight, numerous additional costs often arise that are difficult to trace, placing an additional burden on companies – especially with less-than-container-load shipments. The newly developed concept of the forwarding alliance ensures that export and import traffic for partner forwarders is handled as simply as possible. “We guarantee our partners clearly calculable door-to-door prices, which ensure transparency, especially for less-than-container-load (LCL) shipments, and exclude unexpected additional costs,” summarizes Grabowski.
Maximum Transparency Along the Transport Chain
The ELVIS SEAL concept enables both exports to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam, as well as imports from all over Southeast Asia to Europe. In Southeast Asia, the forwarding alliance and its partner companies benefit from the expertise of APX Logistics Solutions: The company based in Bangkok organizes customs clearance and forwarding through its own distribution network, takes care of final delivery, and guarantees daily connections to neighboring countries. Uwe Dettmann, founder and CEO of APX Logistics Solutions, explains: “Through our comprehensive LTL infrastructure, APX and ELVIS connect companies in Southeast Asia and Europe with unparalleled efficiency and reliability. Our holistic logistics system eliminates the complexity of international trade, allowing companies to fully focus on their growth.”
Through the collaboration, ELVIS and APX Logistics Solutions control the entire transport chain from pickup to delivery, making them independent of external service providers. The system relies on its own collection and delivery organization as well as its extensive transport network, which includes 200 depots in Europe and Southeast Asia. Thanks to innovative IT solutions, partner companies can also track shipments live at any time.
Flexible Delivery Options
For transport to Southeast Asia, shipments are initially brought to the ELVIS central hub in Knüllwald, Hesse, and consolidated. The freight is then transported to Hamburg and shipped from there. After a transit time of about 30 days, the containers arrive in Southeast Asia. On-site, APX Logistics Solutions ensures timely delivery in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore thanks to its dense network.
For time-sensitive transports, ELVIS also offers the possibility to conduct air freight from all European airports through a cooperation partner. At the locations in Frankfurt and Munich, dedicated cargo X-ray facilities are available to further facilitate the handling.
Pioneer in Southeast Asia
Co-initiator APX Logistics Solutions was founded in 2021. Since then, the Bangkok-based company has set new standards in Southeast Asian logistics with its fully digitized end-to-end transport network for groupage and LTL shipments. With fixed schedules and a special hub-and-spoke system, APX stands out as the fastest-growing logistics network in the economic region.
