Apr 27, 2025 at 12:04 PMWith Webfleet Video 2.0, Webfleet, the globally proven fleet management solution from Bridgestone, is launching an advanced AI-powered solution. It aims to make fleets safer and improve compliance with local regulations as well as operational efficiency through real-time video insights.
(Leipzig) The enhanced solution builds on the success of Webfleet Video and introduces two new state-of-the-art cameras – CAM Lite and CAM Pro. These cameras analyze driving behavior, road conditions, and potential hazards even more accurately using AI and machine vision. The system is complemented by a comprehensive portfolio of additional cameras and accessories to meet all customer needs and specific use cases. The advanced system integrates safety, compliance, and insurance management into a single, comprehensive platform. It detects and warns drivers of many potential risks, including mobile phone use while driving, tailgating, or driver fatigue, as well as risky behavior from other road users. AI-driven real-time feedback helps drivers respond appropriately immediately.
Tracking Driving Behavior Over Time
Fleet managers receive precise, data-driven insights with Webfleet Video 2.0 thanks to the integration of Webfleet OptiDrive 360, allowing them to track and improve driving behavior over time. Additional cameras specifically capture the vehicle’s surroundings and protect sensitive goods. In the event of incidents, video recordings are automatically saved and uploaded to the cloud – an advantage in accident investigations to expedite insurance claims and prevent fraud attempts.
“With Webfleet Video 2.0, we are setting a new standard for the safety and protection of vehicle fleets,” says Jan-Maarten de Vries, President Fleet Management Solutions at Bridgestone. “With AI-powered monitoring and real-time video analysis, we support fleets in identifying risks early, relieving driving personnel, and better protecting vehicles and cargo. Our new solution offers more transparency and control and helps fleets make smarter, data-driven decisions that enhance both safety and efficiency.”
GDPR Compliance
To ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as the GDPR, fleet managers maintain control within the Webfleet platform at all times – from camera settings to data storage, encryption, and access rights. Optional lens covers provide additional privacy protection when needed – even during international operations. Webfleet Video 2.0 will initially launch in the EU, with more regions to follow. With AI-powered safety features, improved protective effects, regulatory compliance, and cost advantages, Webfleet remains a leader in innovations for fleet management.
