Summit of Logistics Experts: Resilience and Future Potential
27. May 2025Ciblex, a major player in the express courier services sector and a member of the Walden Express International group, has partnered with Zetes to drive a comprehensive digital transformation. The goal is to significantly enhance the traceability and efficiency of logistics processes.
(Wien/Paris) As part of the integration of its entire network – including Relais Colis, an established parcel shop network in France for pickup and delivery services – Ciblex opted for ZetesMedea to digitize logistics operations at loading docks and increase their reliability. To further improve transparency, ZetesChronos is also being used, which enables real-time tracking of deliveries.
Ambitious Modernization Project with Impressive KPIs
Ciblex operates a comprehensive international logistics network with 125 branches and depots, offering specialized express courier services for various industries, including healthcare, optics, automotive, industry, retail, and sensitive products. The company coordinates 2,500 delivery tours daily and processes approximately 450,000 packages per day. To support this high-volume, cross-industry operation, Ciblex has tasked Zetes with the end-to-end digitalization of its activities in branches and depots, its delivery processes, and real-time tracking.
Technological Solution for Operational Excellence
To modernize operations at the loading docks, Ciblex has implemented ZetesMedea, replacing its legacy system with a modern mobile solution of the latest generation. This upgrade enables complete real-time transparency, improves label scanning – especially for complex formats through optimized scan times – and automates data transfer. The result: faster and more reliable loading management. In parallel, ZetesChronos, the specialized solution for delivery transparency, provides continuous real-time tracking from shipment to final delivery. The ePOD solution (electronic Proof of Delivery) runs on a mobile device, allowing delivery teams to efficiently manage all delivery requirements according to priorities, business hours, and branch locations.
“The success of these projects is largely due to Zetes’ ability to quickly understand our issues and the efficient collaboration of our teams,” reports Mélanie Ogier, Director of Projects and Innovation at Ciblex.
A Milestone in Digital Transformation
Building on a successful collaboration in Belgium, where Zetes implemented a similarly ambitious project under tight deadlines, Ciblex is now launching its largest digitization initiative to date in France. This comprehensive transformation is based on Zetes’ proven expertise in optimizing supply chains – in close operational collaboration with Ciblex – and is precisely tailored to the operational requirements of the group. The partnership is characterized by personalized support, consistent change management, and agile implementation that flexibly adapts to the evolving project scope.
Optimization of Synergies within the Group
The integration of Relais Colis, a specialist in B2C deliveries, into the corporate group in 2022 was a key moment and initiated the shift towards a more agile and connected logistics organization. Zetes’ solutions promote interoperability between the logistics networks of Ciblex and Relais Colis, playing a crucial role in this transformation that strengthens the traceability and automation of processes. This leads to smarter resource allocation, improved coordination, and more sustainable logistics operations.
“The success of this project is largely attributable to Zetes’ ability to quickly grasp our challenges – they have understood the specific conditions of our operational environment very well – as well as the efficient collaboration of our teams. Although the solution is still in the rollout phase across our entire network, we are already observing a high level of acceptance among our operational teams. Users are learning to use the system smoothly and efficiently. In particular, the project addresses a central challenge in today’s transport sector: How can we make the work of drivers – from the loading dock to the end customer – easier? The initial feedback on traceability and operational processes is very positive, and I am convinced that this solution will make a significant contribution to improving the customer experience,” says Mélanie Ogier, Director of Projects and Innovation at Ciblex.
