BGL presents proven digital alternative route map
Jul 1, 2025 at 5:05 PMThe TRANSCO Group, based in southern Germany’s Singen, and Webfleet have announced their collaboration today. The goal of the partnership is the digital real-time management of the entire TRANSCO fleet. The focus is on sustainability, process optimization, and strategic electrification planning.
(Singen/Leipzig) In the first rollout, 75 Transco vehicles will be equipped with Webfleet’s telematics solution. Additional units at national and international locations are to follow. “We see Webfleet as a partner that supports us in digitizing our fleet management and scaling our electromobility strategy,” explains Gerhard Reger, Global Head of Fleet Management at TRANSCO, adding: “We already have ten battery-electric tractors. In addition, we are gradually expanding our own charging infrastructure. Electromobility is our top priority. Webfleet helps us optimize fleet management based on data, automated, and cross-border.”
Digitization with a Clear Roadmap
Webfleet offers digital fleet management, automated tachograph data reading, legally compliant archiving, and data-driven reports for operational and strategic decisions. The platform also provides precise foundations for the charging and routing of electric trucks. “We see ourselves as technology pioneers, just like TRANSCO as a trailblazer for e-transport logistics on the user side,” says Wolfgang Schmid, Head of Central Region at Webfleet. “This partnership advances both of us. Together, we set the benchmarks for the future and demonstrate how data-driven logistics works in practice. This is a strong signal to the entire industry.”
TRANSCO: Pioneer of Electrically Operated Logistics
With around ten percent of its heavy fleet electrified, TRANSCO is among the pioneers in the field of alternative drives. The company operates two 300 kW charging stations at its Singen location and increasingly relies on solar-powered energy supply. TRANSCO is also working with AI on customs issues – among other things, through the integration of the solution Traide.ai. This accelerates the import and export process and reduces manual work.
TRANSCO is supported by Webfleet partner Telematik Partner. The close collaboration with an experienced local partner ensures that TRANSCO is optimally supported not only technologically but also with personal care and regional expertise.
