Jul 24, 2025 at 1:54 PMACITO Logistics GmbH continues to grow: As of July 1, 2025, the company has taken over all business activities of Logistics and Transport International GmbH based in Freiburg im Breisgau. The acquisition is a significant step for both companies and sustainably strengthens the regional as well as European presence of ACITO Logistics. Owner Hermann Bürgin is passing on his company to Acito due to age after more than 20 years.
(Weil am Rhein/Freiburg i. Breisgau) For the business partners of Logistics and Transport International GmbH, there will be no changes to the established processes. The locations will remain intact, and the logistical services will be seamlessly integrated into the service portfolio of ACITO Logistics GmbH and continued with the usual high quality. To ensure a smooth transition, Hermann Bürgin, owner and long-time contact person of Logistics and Transport International GmbH, will continue to provide advisory support. “It was important to me to hand over the baton into responsible hands,” says Hermann Bürgin. “With ACITO Logistics, I have found a company that shares our values and at the same time has the potential to further develop our previous services in a future-oriented direction. I look forward to shaping this transition together.”
Growth with Regional Responsibility
Since its founding in 2014, ACITO Logistics has developed into a leading logistics service provider in the Upper Rhine region. At the locations in Weil am Rhein and Efringen-Kirchen, the company today offers comprehensive solutions in the areas of project and contract logistics, national and international transport, sea and air freight, as well as customs and supply chain management.
“We are proud of what we have achieved in recent years and look to the future with confidence. With the acquisition of Logistics and Transport International GmbH, we are consistently pursuing our vision and strategically expanding our product portfolio. Logistics and Transport GmbH has an excellent ‘Helping Hands’ network in the DACH region. Thus, we are also able to further expand our services with a two-person service. Furthermore, the company has made a name for itself in the area of project- and solution-oriented supply chain solutions. We are glad that we were able to reach a sustainable succession arrangement with Hermann Bürgin,” says Francesco Grieco, Managing Director of ACITO Logistics GmbH.
