Scandlines and NABU Offer Ferry Ride with Educational Impact
17. August 2025The Warehouse Management System (WMS) LEA Reply™ from Logistics Reply has successfully passed validation by the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML) for the sixth consecutive time. In a comprehensive audit, the functionality of the cloud-native platform was confirmed based on 3,000 criteria. The validation underscores the innovative strength of Logistics Reply as well as the continuous development towards an AI-supported platform.
(Munich/Dortmund) For more than two decades, the logistics IT portal warehouse-logistics.com has stood for neutral and manufacturer-independent evaluations of WMS. The listed providers and solutions are thoroughly examined as part of a standardized testing procedure, including aspects such as functional depth, system architecture, and deployment flexibility. The renewed inclusion of LEA Reply™ in the database demonstrates the maturity of the platform.
The evaluation also took into account the consistent expansion of LEA Reply™ with AI-based features. In addition to the intelligent assistant Smart Support, which helps users navigate the system and enables faster access to information, additional specialized agents now facilitate everyday warehouse operations. All of them are part of the overarching AI platform GaliLEA, which is fully integrated into the WMS and is continuously being expanded.
AI Roadmap Gains Momentum
Based on the performance of GaliLEA considered during the assessment, Fraunhofer Warehouse Logistics plans to define additional selection criteria for AI models in upcoming validation processes. Thus, the AI platform from Logistics Reply already serves as a reference for future AI applications from other WMS providers – a clear testament to the company’s expert status and technological leadership.
“The renewed Fraunhofer validation is more than a quality seal for us. It shows that our investments in AI and the modularity of the platform are proving themselves in daily warehouse operations,” says Alexander Edelmann, partner at Logistics Reply. “We see artificial intelligence as a central lever to master the complexity of logistics processes and unlock new potentials in value creation.” For example, users can initiate complex tasks such as proactive management of bottlenecks, automated prioritization of orders, or live evaluation of process metrics through a central input mask with GaliLEA.
Modular and Scalable Architecture
Both LEA Reply™ and GaliLEA rely on a modular and scalable architecture at Logistics Reply. Companies benefit from a highly available solution that can be flexibly adapted to their requirements. The business suite covers all supply chain processes – from warehouse management to dock scheduling and yard management to last mile and in-store picking. Already today, LEA Reply™ contributes measurably to efficiency increases in the supply chain through targeted AI use and will gain further relevance in light of growing complexity.
