16. September 2025Sven Wellbrock will take over as Managing Director of BLG AutoTransport GmbH & Co. KG starting October 1, 2025. In this role, he will be responsible for the areas of transport and rail. With this decision, BLG LOGISTICS is relying on a leader who has more than twenty years of expertise in the rail sector.
Sven Wellbrock has spent over 20 years in various management positions within the VTG Group, including roles as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Safety Officer. From 2013 to 2023, he served as Chairman of the Management Board of VTG Rail Europe GmbH, overseeing all leasing activities and facilities of VTG in Europe. Since 2019, he has also been responsible for rail logistics and railway companies. During this time, he led transformation projects with sustainable economic success. His career is characterized by the development and integration of business areas as well as the implementation of innovative and digital solutions in the rail sector.

His extensive experience in the rail segment and his strategic view of the entire transport chain will significantly strengthen BLG. We look forward to working together and the impulses he will bring for the integration of the business areas,” emphasizes Axel Krichel, member of the board and COO of the BLG Group.
With his transition to BLG, Sven Wellbrock will also expand his extensive experience in the rail sector to include road and inland shipping. This strengthens the integration of transport modes and contributes to advancing sustainable solutions for BLG’s customers. In the future, Sven Wellbrock will be based in both Bremen and Mainz.

Together with my colleagues, I want to bring the strengths of the individual areas even closer together and develop innovative solutions.” His career has taken the graduate industrial engineer with a focus on transport and logistics through positions at Kühne & Nagel, Preussag AG, as well as TRANSWAGGON AG in Zug and various leadership positions within the VTG Group to the BLG Group.
