Ratingen, 15.07.2020. The mobility service provider DKV Mobility has recently expanded its LNG acceptance network in the Netherlands by 11 LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) stations. As a result, DKV’s entire LNG acceptance network now consists of 87 stations in six countries, making it the largest in Europe. “LNG is currently the cleanest fuel for international long-distance transport. Therefore, the German Bundestag has also extended the toll exemption for LNG-powered trucks until 2023,” says Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV. “For this reason, we are consistently pursuing the expansion of our acceptance network in the field of alternative fuels and aim to become the leading provider of sustainable supply solutions in our industry. We aspire to be ‘Lead in Green’.”
Overall 60,000 stations across Europe
Depending on national legislation, drivers must undergo a registration and certification process for LNG refueling. At many LNG partners, drivers can also familiarize themselves with the safe execution of LNG refueling through e-learning. DKV Mobility connects around 5,000 gas stations annually across Europe and has recently expanded its total network to over 60,000 stations. The mobility service provider places a strong focus on multi-energy stations that offer LNG alongside conventional fuels, among others.
