Connect online’, the adapted concept focuses on business meetings and turnkey exhibitor packages. This offers exhibitors flexibility and improved business opportunities.
(Berlin) – The FRUIT LOGISTICA today announced further details about its new event format, the FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION, which will take place from May 18 to 20, 2021.
First On-Site Event in Nearly 18 Months
“The FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION 2021 will give the global fresh fruit industry its first opportunity in nearly 18 months to meet in person in a protected, COVID-safe environment,” explains Madlen Miserius, Senior Product Manager at FRUIT LOGISTICA. “Our new format helps our exhibitors expand their business and develop their future strategy. It also gives them the opportunity to showcase their latest product innovations and corporate solutions that will shape the immediate future of the fruit and vegetable industry.”
New Future-Oriented Concept
The FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION 2021 brings together all areas of the value chain for fruits and vegetables in a completely new way. The new compact format is divided into seven segments or product areas: fresh fruits and vegetables, packaging, logistics, seeds & fertilizers, machinery & technology, greenhouse technology, and cultivation equipment. Each exhibitor will be placed in the segment or product area relevant to their business. This facilitates navigation at the fair, reduces the distance between meetings, and allows each participant to benefit from a special event program for their area.
Concept Aims to Minimize Risk for Exhibitors
The goal of the FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION 2021 is to bring together as many international exhibitors from the entire value chain of the fresh fruit industry in a more compact format. This approach allows the organizers to offer a range of turnkey exhibition packages that guarantee flexibility and help exhibitors minimize their risk. Exhibitors can choose from three predefined stand sizes (18, 36, and 54 square meters) and three predefined stand shapes (1 side open, 2 sides open, and 3 sides open). The exhibition packages include the stand area, turnkey stand construction, a digital package, and a high-speed internet connection. The modular stand construction allows for easy and cost-effective stand decisions. The cancellation conditions have also been revised to offer exhibitors more flexibility, allowing them to cancel free of charge up to four weeks before the event.
Online Meetings Also Possible
The FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION 2021 is an exclusive event where the right exhibitors can meet the right visitors. For this reason, the organizers have developed a Buyer Programme. In a free and exclusive business lounge, representatives of the retail food sector and food manufacturers can meet on-site or online with their partners from the fresh fruit industry. For on-site meetings, buyers have access to an 18 square meter COVID-safe lounge area equipped with everything a buyer needs for business meetings. The Buyer Programme also includes free use of the matchmaking tool and free access to all relevant on-site events and the online conference program.
FRUIT LOGISTICA INNOVATION AWARD
The latest innovations in the fresh fruit industry will be showcased at a central location on the exhibition grounds of Messe Berlin as part of the FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION 2021. In an exclusive area called ‘The Innovation Club’, innovations from all elements of the value chain will be presented. The new format consists of two areas: The Innovation Zone and the Innovation Insights & Awards. The Innovation Zone includes special exhibition stands for innovative companies that want to present their new product or corporate solution live. The Taste Space offers tastings of new fruit and vegetable varieties in a safe environment, considering the latest health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Innovation Insights & Awards presents the nominees for the FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award (FLIA) and honors outstanding innovations that have come to market in the twelve months prior to the event. Spotlight highlights the latest premieres and innovations that will be presented at the FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION (trade visitors can inform themselves online in advance of the event and then find the Spotlights at the stands of participating exhibitors). The Future Lab is an event program featuring expert talks about the future of the industry, focusing on products and solutions that will come to market before 2025 (the on-site presentations will be available online after the event).
‘Digital Pact’ Offers New Opportunities for Exhibitors
The FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION is a compact on-site exhibition supported by a range of online tools that help participants better plan their visit, connect with key players in the industry, and strengthen their business relationships. The digital package includes online planning of business meetings, online presentation of participating companies, and online representation of the entire event program. It is aimed at trade visitors and buyers who cannot attend in person due to travel restrictions, allowing them to connect with the exhibitors who will be on-site.
Hall Planning is COVID-Safe
The FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION 2021 is also COVID-safe in terms of its hall planning. It is designed to provide maximum protection for all participants. There will be wider aisles and a clear stand grid that allows for social distancing.
Companies that have not yet registered but wish to do so can do so after November 20, provided there is still space available.
