16. November 2020The EVBox Group and Engie have signed a four-year partnership with Scania, a global leader in transport solutions, to set an example for the transport industry and its environmental responsibility.
(Munich) – Scania recently announced that they will launch new electric products every year in the coming years to accelerate the transition to e-mobility. Electrification is a very important part of Scania’s efforts to decarbonize the transport sector, which is why the company is establishing this global partnership with ENGIE and EVBox for the coming years.
This unprecedented cooperation, which extends to both truck and bus applications, will provide Scania’s customers with a complete e-mobility solution—including solutions tailored to the actual requirements of fleet and depot management, electrified heavy vehicles, smart charging infrastructure, service and maintenance, supply of green energy, and financing.
Providing the Complete Package for a Seamless Transition to E-Mobility in Transport
To support their customers throughout the electrification process, Scania will not only offer electric vehicles but also electric charging solutions. EVBox Group provides Scania with intelligent, scalable, and powerful charging solutions tailored to their customers’ needs—including hardware and software. Additionally, Scania will also offer field services and training for their drivers as part of its regular portfolio.
ENGIE will develop, offer, install, and maintain the electric charging solution and related services for Scania customers in various key regions.
A Joint Effort to Develop Sustainable Transport Solutions in Europe
Scania, EVBox Group, and ENGIE share the same goal of accelerating the transition to a carbon-neutral economy through reduced energy consumption and more environmentally friendly solutions.
The partnership between the three companies will begin with activities in thirteen European countries, which are to be expanded to other regions starting at the end of 2021. ENGIE and EVBox Group will collaborate with trusted regional partners such as Caverion and Alpiq.
The electrification of transport is one of the key initiatives to reduce emissions—especially since transport accounts for nearly a quarter of European greenhouse gas emissions. This partnership offers new opportunities for the EVBox Group, and with more than 10 years of experience, we are confident that our expertise and competitive offering will support Scania in achieving its business and sustainability goals.

Scania and ENGIE share the same vision and ambition to drive the transition to sustainable transport solutions. This first European partnership of its kind in the field of electric trucks and buses is the result of the mutual trust that has developed through our historical collaboration in gas mobility. We are proud to work together on this new electric truck segment, which offers promising potential for use in urban and suburban areas. ENGIE looks forward to developing, offering, installing, and maintaining leading charging solutions and related services for Scania customers. In doing so, we benefit from both our own European network of qualified technicians and the regional networks of our partners.
