GREIWING logistics for you GmbH has now also been certified at its location in Duisburg according to the international standard IFS Food 6.1. Following the external audit, DEKRA confirmed to the logistics specialist that it meets all requirements and regulations for handling food.

(Duisburg) – The IFS Food 6.1 ensures quality requirements throughout the entire supply chain and guarantees, among other things, a seamless traceability of products from production to retail.

“The audit showed that we have successfully implemented all requirements into our daily processes – both in the administrative and operational areas,” says Matthias Seidlitz, head of QSHE at GREIWING logistics for you GmbH. For two days, DEKRA examined the location in Logport to see whether the requirements of the standard had been fully implemented. Of particular interest to the auditor was the question of whether and to what extent the processes meet the special requirements for product safety in the storage and handling of food. On the one hand, documents and processes were reviewed. On the other hand, site inspections and employee interviews were part of the examination.

“How quality management is embedded in an organization, how we identify risks and opportunities early on, and develop measures from them was the focus,” explains Seidlitz. The new certificate gives suppliers and customers the assurance that all GREIWING internal processes comply with recognized quality management standards.
