(Bonn) During the Corona pandemic, Deutsche Post DHL Group demonstrates itself as a reliable training company and continues its commitment to training at the level of previous years without restrictions. In 2021, the company is again offering around 2,000 new training positions in Germany alone. The offer includes dual training in 17 professions, as well as 180 dual study places in various fields of business administration, business informatics, and computer science: Applications from people with disabilities are very welcome in all professions and study programs. With appropriate aids, many office jobs, as well as some production activities, are suitable for people with disabilities.
Qualified Training Positions and Crisis-Proof Jobs
“COVID-19 has shown how important logistics is for our society. We offer young people highly qualified training positions and crisis-proof jobs with prospects,” says Thomas Ogilvie, Board Member for Human Resources and Labor Director at Deutsche Post DHL Group. “The 2,000 new training positions are proof that we are fulfilling our corporate responsibility even in times of crisis. The pandemic brings significant challenges for training, which are being excellently mastered by our training companies,” Ogilvie adds. The company continues to adhere to its previous principle of offering suitable candidates a job offer after successfully completing their vocational training. With around 2,000 new training positions, Deutsche Post DHL Group is the largest training company in the postal and logistics sector.
Diverse Training Program
In 2021, Deutsche Post DHL Group also offers a wide range of training professions. In the commercial-technical area, there are six professions to choose from. In mail and parcel delivery, the company offers training as a specialist for courier, express, and postal services (FKEP). Additionally, there are training positions for professional drivers, warehouse specialists, and logistics specialists who take care of customers’ shipments and inventory. Aspiring electronics technicians and mechatronics engineers are responsible for maintaining and repairing technical operating facilities. Furthermore, Deutsche Post DHL Group’s training offer includes numerous commercial professions in the fields of logistics, computer science, and office management. In addition, the company offers around 180 dual study places in various fields of logistics, human resources, accounting & controlling, and computer science/business informatics. The practical part of the training is completed by dual students at a corporate location, while the academic part takes place at partner universities, mainly in Baden-Württemberg and Berlin.
