(Unterföhring) Loxxess AG, a medium-sized logistics company specializing in complex logistics and value-added services based in Tegernsee, is supporting the ‘Kindness for Kids’ foundation for children with rare diseases in Starnberg with its Christmas donation of 10,000 euros this year.
Kindness for Kids aims to assist children with rare diseases and their families on both social and scientific levels. To this end, the foundation, established in 2003, organizes medically supervised holiday camps for affected children and their siblings, as well as therapy-accompanying holiday stays for their entire families. Day activities are also part of the offering.
Focus on Experiential Education
A key focus of the foundation’s work is on experiential education. Additionally, Kindness for Kids finances various urgently needed research projects in the field of rare diseases and further supports the establishment of national and international communities for rare diseases.
“Kindness for Kids does outstanding and important work in caring for children with rare diseases and their families. Therefore, we want to support the foundation with our Christmas donation this year and hope to draw more public attention to the important issue of rare diseases,” says Dr. Claus-Peter Amberger, Board Member of Loxxess AG.
Improving the Quality of Life of Children is a Matter of the Heart
“We are particularly pleased with the support from Loxxess. Children with rare diseases and their families require special care. Improving the quality of life of our patients is a matter of the heart for us. Donations like the one from Loxxess help us provide the support that children deserve,” says Dr. Anja Frankenberger, Managing Director at Kindness for Kids.
With this donation, Loxxess, as a family-owned company, continues its regional commitment. In 2019, the logistics service provider donated to the Irmengard-Hof of the Björn Schulz Foundation based in Gstadt am Chiemsee.
