May 4, 2021 at 6:05 PMThe VAHLE Group has fully acquired VAHLE Automation GmbH as of May 1, 2021. In 2013, the Kamen-based system provider established the joint venture together with the Tyrolean DETO Group. Over the past years, the joint venture has successfully developed into the innovation and technology center for automation solutions of the VAHLE Group.
(Kamen/Schwoich) The specialist for mobile industrial applications, Vahle, will now use its subsidiary Vale Automation GmbH in Schwoich, Austria, as a development site for the entire product portfolio.
“VAHLE provides comprehensive system solutions for mobile industrial applications. The automation division completes our product portfolio. We offer our customers a complete package consisting of energy transmission, positioning, data transmission, and control technology,” explains Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. The Kamen-based company established the joint venture VAHLE Automation GmbH as an innovation center together with the Austrian control specialist DETO. “Since May 1, 2021, VAHLE Automation has been a full part of the parent company,” says Dries.
Acquired Renowned International Customers
Alfred della Torre, founder of the DETO Group, will step back from the joint venture as planned due to the acquisition. “In just under ten years, the team at VAHLE Automation has managed to establish a development site, including a demo factory, and convince renowned international customers with innovations in the field of automation solutions,” says Dries. Thus, the subsidiary and its employees have become an important part of the VAHLE Group.
The system provider will therefore continue to rely on the innovative strength of the Tyrolean location and the extensive expertise of the team. “Together with our research and development department at the headquarters in Kamen, VAHLE Automation will form a technology axis,” outlines Dries the plans. The Schwoich demo factory, where the expert team implements new technologies and innovations into reality, serves as a basis for dynamic progress. In addition, VAHLE Automation will specifically strengthen its focus on hardware and software development as well as project management and will concentrate on collaborations with universities and technical colleges in the region.
