The leading company in warehouse automation, AutoStore, announces the launch of the R5+ robot. The latest addition to the AutoStore robot fleet enables the handling of larger items in the warehouse, as the R5+ robot can handle bins with a height of up to 425 mm. These are the tallest bins available for the AutoStore system.
(PresseBox; Mönchengladbach) Until now, this was a premium feature that was only possible with the AutoStore B1 robot. The R5+ robot is now available for deployment worldwide.
The R5+ offers customers the same safety and top performance that the R5 has proven for over a decade – with a significant added benefit. AutoStore now has a more economically competitive offering for companies operating in a wide variety of markets, such as the footwear industry, the semiconductor industry, or similar applications. The maximum grid height for AutoStore customers using the R5+ with 425 mm high bins will be minimally higher at 14 bin levels and a height of 6,044 mm than a grid with the R5 using 330 mm bins.
