Three Days of Full Program at the LogiMAT.digital Summer Summit

Experience three days of a full program in the usual LogiMAT quality. It is a tradition and success factor of the LogiMAT brand – the demanding supporting program at congress level. Program highlights such as the award ceremony for BEST PRODUCT, the IFT Day, and lecture series that provide immediate practical recommendations on challenging topics will be broadcast online from Stuttgart via LogiMAT.digital from June 22 to 24, 2021.

(Stuttgart) Although the intralogistics trade fair LogiMAT in Stuttgart has been postponed to March 2022, the international intralogistics community can still participate digitally in popular highlights of the event program from June 22 to 24. These will be broadcast live on the platform www.logimat.digital. Anyone interested can easily, without obligation, and free of charge register as a participant and, as usual, benefit from the added value in proven LogiMAT quality for themselves and their company.

Winners of BEST PRODUCT 2020 to be honored retrospectively

The “LogiMAT.digital Summer Summit” will be opened on June 22 at 10:00 AM. The first day features a LogiMAT Daily Talk round, an exciting lecture series focusing on automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and is dedicated to the award ceremony for BEST PRODUCT. The trade journalist Anja Seemann will guide the program over the three days and welcome the winners from 2020 – including two startups – to present them with the award, which unfortunately could not take place on-site last year. They will address the innovative claims of their solutions, especially in light of the current challenges where transparency and efficiency are put to the test. The winners will present the awarded solutions: Kern AG from Switzerland with the product: “PackOnTime 2box” in the category “Identification, Packaging and Loading Technology, Load Securing”, Wiferion GmbH with the product “etaLINK 12000” in the category “Picking, Conveying, Lifting, Storage Technology”, and last but not least MotionMiners GmbH with the product: “Manual Process Intelligence” in the category “Software, Communication, IT”.

Unabated Innovation Enthusiasm in the Industry

On June 22, at 7:00 PM (CEST), the festive award ceremony for BEST PRODUCT 2021 will take place with this year’s winners. This year, exhibitors of LogiMAT were also invited to apply with their innovative products and solutions that contribute to streamlining, cost savings, and increasing productivity in internal logistics. Over a hundred companies responded to the invitation from the trade fair organizer. A challenging task for the jury, which carefully reviewed and critically evaluated the submitted applications. “It was a great pleasure for us to see that especially or perhaps precisely in these times, the enthusiasm for innovation in the industry is unabated. Those who identify decisive disruptive factors as weaknesses and have a solution for them are advancing the industry. This gives courage to look forward,” said Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Fottner, Chair of Material Handling, Material Flow Logistics at the Technical University of Munich and Chairman of the Jury. The awarded companies contribute with their products to safe processes, easier adaptation to changes, efficiency improvements, and ultimately to increased productivity in intralogistics.

Mix of Talk Rounds and Lecture Series with Experts

On the following two days, June 23 and 24, a mix of high-profile talk rounds and lecture series with leading experts from business and science will also be offered. The range of topics includes “Presentation of the new VDI guideline for AGV planning”, “Agile selection and implementation of WMS systems”, “Digital twins in commissioning”, and “Value stream-oriented production logistics” to the topic “Optimization of the Digital Supply Chain through AutoID technologies”. The sequences of the IFT Day under the well-known motto: “Intralogistics – Future – Technology” must not be missed. This is traditionally organized every year by the Institute for Material Handling and Logistics (IFT) at the University of Stuttgart at LogiMAT and reports on industrial and research-oriented solutions. At the digital event on Wednesday, June 23, a one-hour lecture series will focus on “Innovative Techniques for Decentralized Material Provisioning” and, in the context of a panel discussion, the topic “Plug & Supply in Intralogistics – Vision of the Future or Lived Reality?” The events of the LogiMAT.digital Summer Summit will mostly be translated simultaneously into English. “Even if we cannot welcome trade visitors on-site at this date, we will at least broadcast live from the Stuttgart exhibition grounds on these days. With this, we want to convey the LogiMAT feeling to those who tune in over the three days. This builds the digital bridge to LogiMAT over Bangkok in November 2021 to Stuttgart in March 2022, which we are simultaneously preparing as in-person events with full commitment,” said Peter Kazander, Managing Director of EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH.
