Jul 1, 2021 at 5:20 PMSwissterminal AG will take over the operation of three inland ports in the Alsace region – Ottmarsheim, Hüningen-Village-Neuf, and Ile Napoléon – starting July 1, 2021. The operation of these French ports will be carried out by Alsaceterminal SAS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swissterminal AG.
(Frenkendorf) Swissterminal AG will provide customers with additional space for logistical growth as well as increased handling and storage capacities with its expansion into France announced in early 2021. A variety of port services are available at the three ports in France, including bulk and breakbulk services, rental of commercial space, project cargo solutions, and loading services by rail.
As part of its growth strategy, Swissterminal AG has also strengthened its management team. Roman Mayer remains CEO of the Swissterminal Group and is supported by Jürg Wiggli as Deputy. In the newly created position of COO Terminals Switzerland, Wiggli is also responsible for terminal operations in Switzerland. Tatiana Mayer continues as CCO and Mark Mayer as CFO.
Making Logistics Processes More Sustainable
Romain Stemmelen has been newly appointed to the management board as CTO. Additionally, Lionel Husser has taken over the leadership of activities in France as COO Ports & Terminals France and Managing Director of Alsaceterminal SAS. Furthermore, Andreas Jeppesen will lead the warehousing and business services at all locations as COO Business & Warehousing Solutions.
