15. July 2021Under the umbrella of R-Tech GmbH, the two successful clusters ‘IT Logistics’ and ‘E-Mobility Regensburg’ are joining forces to create a common network. The new ‘Cluster Mobility & Logistics’ will create synergies and unleash impulses for new ideas and projects. This joint cluster initiative now grows into a network of over 100 members and partners.
(Regensburg) For more than ten years, R-Tech GmbH has been initiating and promoting the establishment of specific networks, clusters, and research projects. The subsidiary of the city of Regensburg, based in TechBase, founded the IT logistics cluster in 2011 and took over the management of the E-Mobility cluster Regensburg in 2015. Both clusters have a high-profile network and expert knowledge that will now benefit all stakeholders through the cluster consolidation.
Advancing the future in logistics and mobility even better
“With the new cluster, we want to drive future topics in logistics and mobility more purposefully and interdisciplinary, such as Smart City, hydrogen, artificial intelligence, and automation,” explains Alexander Rupprecht, managing director of R-Tech GmbH. Among the core tasks will also be the networking of key players, offering events as a platform for cooperation, and providing professional support in scouting for funding.
According to cluster manager Uwe Pfeil, the merger brings significant advantages to all parties involved, as transport routes and means of transport will change massively in the coming years: “The transformation of mobility also changes logistics and vice versa. With our cross-industry cluster, we are now even better positioned to meet the new era with pioneering solutions and fully exploit the innovation potential of digital networking.”
