9. September 2021Under the motto: “Supply Chain Management in Challenging Times – Cost Reductions and Efficiency Gains through Supply Chain Innovations,” the Institute for Supply Chain Management at the University of St. Gallen is hosting this year’s Supply Chain Innovation Day (SCID) on September 28, 2021, at the Würth Haus Rorschach (CH). After two postponements due to COVID-19, the event can finally take place in person again.
(St. Gallen/Rorschach) Executives, decision-makers, and interested parties from the logistics and supply chain community are pleased that “real” encounters are possible again. In the inspiring setting by Lake Constance, high-profile experts from industry, research, and practice will discuss currently relevant topics such as disruption management and resilience in supply chains, as well as new digital services for supply chains.
Questions and challenges on these topics will be addressed in interactive sessions. The participants are at the center of the SCID: The professional audience will actively engage in discussions, guided by our experienced moderators.
Prominent Keynotes
In addition, our two keynotes will provide exclusive insights into how renowned companies are tackling current challenges in supply chain management and logistics. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Detlef Trefzger, CEO of Kühne + Nagel International AG, and Hakan Bicil, CEO of Imperial Logistics International, as speakers at our event. Dr. Trefzger will address our professional audience with his keynote “Kuehne+Nagel: the systemically important role of logistics founded on technology, big data, and continued innovation.” Mr. Bicil will focus on digital transformation and the resulting challenges for companies with his keynote “From Flame to Fire – Can a Logistics Company become a Digital Dragon.”
Start-ups in Supply Chain Speed-Dating
The Supply Chain Speed-Dating with industry start-ups, a companion exhibition in the foyer, and the deliberately generous breaks with integrated walk-arounds round off the event. The venue, the Würth Haus Rorschach by Lake Constance, provides the ideal setting while adhering to the current safety and hygiene concepts. As an exhibitor and sponsor, you will also gain direct attention in the supply chain community and present your solutions and brand to a wide professional audience.
The evening Management Board Summit emphasizes the interactive character of our event: After a lively dinner talk with the start-up MotionMiners from Dortmund (Germany), participants can continue to engage in stimulating conversations in a relaxed atmosphere with an exclusive grill buffet and cool drinks right by Lake Constance, allowing them to unwind after an impressive day.
And for the calendar: The next SCID will take place on September 27, 2022!
