24. September 2021On the premises of the Lübeck Port Company (LHG), the fuel chain “tankpool24” has opened a new station. At the so-called weekly change area, located just before the access to the Scandinavian Quay terminal, truck drivers can now refuel either diesel or AdBlue around the clock. Payment is made exclusively with special fuel cards.
(Lübeck/Travemünde) “This is a great thing for all freight forwarders who operate through our port,” says Kristof Renken, project manager of the LHG service company. “We were still missing a fuel station in our portfolio. It is a building block that further strengthens the location.”
The operator Staack already maintains three other tankpool24 stations in the greater Lübeck area. Jürgen Kreyer (image), head of station technology, looks optimistically to the future: “We are very confident that the offer will be well received. In the first weekend, we already supplied over 8000 liters of diesel and 500 liters of AdBlue to existing customers from Germany and abroad. Additionally, we were able to win a new customer with a neighboring logistics provider. For him, it is almost like a yard fuel station.”
LNG Fuel Station in Planning
A LNG fuel station is also planned on the same premises. It is to be equipped with a separate access road. The LHG expects construction to start in the coming months.
