Jens Schmale will be the new Head of EMEA, and Markus Kirchhoff will head the Business Unit AutoStore Europe. All appointees are committed to both the stability and growth of the company.
(Buchs) Swisslog AG, Buchs/Switzerland, announces three top managers in new roles: Antonio Trioschi has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Dr. Christian Baur, who has led the company for the past six years and not only represented Swisslog Logistics Automation but also significantly drove its growth. Trioschi has been with Swisslog for nine years and has held various leadership positions during this time. Most recently, he was responsible for merging the two Swisslog business areas Central and Greater Europe into a strong EMEA region.
Trioschi explains the company strategy: “Our goal is to further expand our automation technologies in a fast-paced industry. The focus is on our new and existing customers, to whom we want to provide excellent solutions and the best possible service.”
Jens Schmale is the successor to Antonio Trioschi as the new Head of EMEA. The manager joined the Swiss logistics company in 2020 and initially took over the leadership of the AutoStore business unit, in whose successes he played a significant role last year. Schmale has extensive professional experience in the logistics industry from various sales and leadership positions. Before joining Swisslog, Schmale was managing director of a German AutoStore distributor.
Expansion Strategy in Key Market EMEA
Given the particular importance of the EMEA region as a key market for Swisslog, Jens Schmale aims to further strengthen the company’s success in this region while working from the Swisslog location in Dortmund, Germany. “I am excited to take on the role of Head of EMEA and to further expand our position as a leading provider in this highly dynamic market. The focus will be on data- and robot-driven automated solutions.”
CEO Antonio Trioschi states: “We are pleased to have Jens Schmale on board as the new Head of the EMEA region. I am confident that with his extensive experience in leadership and customer engagement, he will play a significant role in supporting Swisslog’s future growth.”
Markus Kirchhoff is the successor to Jens Schmale as the new Head of Business Unit AutoStore Europe. Kirchhoff also has extensive management experience in the logistics industry, which Antonio Trioschi confirms: “Markus Kirchhoff brings the best qualifications to further develop our European business with the highly popular goods-to-person solution AutoStore in intralogistics.”
