25. March 2022Contargo Industriepark Frankfurt-Höchst is further expanding its rail services. Starting April 4, 2022, the company will offer a new container train connection between Frankfurt and Antwerp. The Frankfurt-Antwerp shuttle will operate on a fixed schedule with one round trip per week. This aims to make the container hinterland logistics network even more flexible in its transport operations at the Frankfurt location.
(Frankfurt-Höchst) The full train departs every Monday from Frankfurt and reaches the first terminal in Antwerp (1700) on Tuesday. On Wednesdays, it visits terminals 869 and 913 before returning to Frankfurt.
“With the Frankfurt-Antwerp shuttle, we offer shippers from the region and neighboring countries an excellent alternative to reach the Port of Antwerp,” says Kawus Khederzadeh, Managing Director of Contargo Industriepark Frankfurt-Höchst. “This connection is economically and ecologically sensible and is also a good complement to combined transport with inland shipping.”
Frequency to Rotterdam Increased by One Departure
At the same time, Contargo Industriepark Frankfurt-Höchst is also increasing the frequency of the existing train connection to Rotterdam (Frankfurt-Rotterdam shuttle) from 2x to 3x weekly.
