28. April 2022The Indian InterRail India Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of the InterRail Group, opened a branch in Chennai at the beginning of April 2022. The location is managed by Vijayan Munusamy. InterRail has been present in India since 2010. With Chennai, the rail service provider aims to better tap into the southern Indian market.
(St. Gallen/Chennai) By establishing a branch in Chennai, India, the InterRail Group strengthens its network in the southern part of the country. InterRail has been active in India since 2010 and has since gained extensive market knowledge and industry expertise on the Indian subcontinent. International companies operating in India also benefit from customer-oriented solutions, the international partner network, and the established InterRail offices in the Eurasian region for their transport projects to and from India.
“The reason for the new location in Chennai is that we want to better access the southern Indian market, which is a hub for technical goods, food, clothing, and many other industries,” explains Vijay Narayan, Managing Director of InterRail India Pvt. Ltd. “With this location, InterRail India can serve customers from Bangalore, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Tuticorin, and Cochin, as well as from all southern Indian regions.”
