Hyster A Series as the New Flagship Forklifts on the Market
29. May 2022Abels & Kemmner, together with the educational provider AWF, calls for participation in the currently being established working group “Production Control and Planning with SAP” under the professional leadership of Dr. Bernd Reineke. The goal of this cooperative and jointly funded working group is to enable its members to largely network and automate the administrative production and logistics processes using targeted SAP transactions.
(Herzogenrath/Aachen) It is essential to know the possibilities of SAP in detail and to utilize optimal parameters for the automation and improvement of planning and scheduling processes. In times of Industry 4.0, which aims to optimize production and logistics processes using reliable sensors and intelligent systems, administrative processes must also be data-driven and automated.
Direct Exchange with Colleagues
The new working group offers its members the space to discuss strategies for production control, scheduling, and procurement in SAP with colleagues from other companies and to exchange SAP application experiences of the individual member companies in detail. In addition, tips and tricks for using SAP will be discussed using practical examples from the host company, actual system capabilities will be illuminated through live connections to the system, and thus the use of SAP will be continuously optimized. Interested parties are invited to participate free of charge and without obligation in the constitutive meeting of the new working group, which will take place on June 1, 2022. The professional leadership will be taken over by Dr. Bernd Reineke, a leading supply chain management expert in the German-speaking area.
“Qualified planners and schedulers are hardly to be found, and yet the automation possibilities in SAP are not utilized everywhere. Rather, many companies either get entangled in complicated configurations or work heavily manually, which sustainably affects productivity. Scheduling makes far-reaching decisions daily for the well-being of the company and customer satisfaction,” explains the moderator and coach of the new working group, Dr. Bernd Reineke. “Especially in challenging times with hardly schedulable supply chains, a good understanding of the interrelationships and methods of production control and scheduling is essential to coordinate production and procurement confidently.”
The topics to be discussed will be determined by the participants of the working group themselves. They can range from the efficient use of planning boards to the implementation of lean planning and scheduling processes with SAP and the new possibilities offered by S/4 HANA, to very specific detailed questions. In addition, members will have the space to discuss and work on practice-relevant topics together in a relaxed, open atmosphere, exchange experiences with other participants, gather ideas during the on-site company tour with open eyes, and address current topics in a network of experts even beyond the meeting dates. Furthermore, the proven concept of the working group allows time to spontaneously discuss and develop solutions for acute and current topics of the individual members.
Target Group
The new working group “Production Control and Planning with SAP” is aimed at management and specialists (key users) from the areas of logistics, scheduling, production planning and control (PPS), work preparation, supply chain, production management, and IT/EDP organization, who use SAP themselves and are interested in optimizing the use of SAP in the planning and control area and wish to exchange ideas with experienced colleagues from other SAP-using companies.
The non-binding and free founding meeting of the working group will take place online for efficiency and health reasons. The later number of participants will be limited to 20 companies. Therefore, an early commitment to participate is worthwhile.
