13. August 2022Henning Altebäumer, Managing Director of ECOOLTEC Grosskopf GmbH, has been elected to the Advisory Board of TRANSFRIGOROUTE DEUTSCHLAND. He also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Technical Committee (CCT) in the umbrella organization TRANSFRIGOROUTE INTERNATIONAL. He is committed to sustainable, environmentally friendly temperature-controlled transport.
(Mülheim/Ruhr) During the recent general meeting, the members of the industry association TRANSFRIGOROUTE DEUTSCHLAND elected Henning Altebäumer, Managing Director of ECOOLTEC Grosskopf GmbH, to the Advisory Board of TRANSFRIGOROUTE DEUTSCHLAND. The committee advises the board of the industry association on technology and innovation for temperature-controlled transport. Henning Altebäumer already holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Technical Committee (CCT) in TRANSFRIGOROUTE INTERNATIONAL. There, too, the Managing Director of ECOOLTEC is contributing to further advancing sustainability and efficiency in transport refrigeration. ECOOLTEC is a member of both organizations.
Proud of the Trust
“I am proud of the trust that the members of TRANSFRIGOROUTE DEUTSCHLAND have placed in me by electing me to this important association committee. I want to take this opportunity to actively shape temperature-controlled transport together with the other advisory board members,” explains Henning Altebäumer. “I will particularly focus on making temperature-controlled transport even more environmentally friendly and sustainable, for example, by using fully electric transport refrigeration units and natural refrigerants with the lowest greenhouse gas potentials, as applied by ECOOLTEC with the innovative, efficient, and powerful TM182 generation of transport refrigeration units,” he elaborates.
No Local Pollutant and CO2 Emissions in Electric Operation
In contrast to diesel refrigeration units, the electrically driven ECOOLTEC systems produce no local pollutant and CO2 emissions and up to 98 percent less emissions in generator operation. Instead of the fluorinated refrigerants (hydrofluorocarbons) R452A and R410A, which are predominantly used in transport refrigeration and have GWP (Global Warming Potential) values of around 2,000, the ECOOLTEC TM182 uses natural refrigerants with GWP values of 3 and 1, respectively. Hydrocarbon-based refrigerants not only offer advantages for the sustainability of temperature-controlled transport but also provide high energy efficiency in the refrigeration process and good availability at a competitive price.
Maintaining a Medium-Sized Structure
Since 1955, TRANSFRIGOROUTE DEUTSCHLAND has been the platform for companies in the temperature-controlled transport sector. The primary goal of the association is to maintain the medium-sized structure of the logistics landscape, thereby continuously improving the performance of transport companies and initiating technical innovations to make temperature-controlled transport more reliable and environmentally friendly at a high level.
Eleven National Member Associations
TRANSFRIGOROUTE INTERNATIONAL comprises eleven national member associations in Europe and unites around 1,500 members engaged in temperature-controlled logistics and the transport of food by road. The association is open to both thermologists, manufacturers of equipment and accessories, and technical testing organizations.
