14. December 2022Every year during the pre-Christmas season, Loxxess supports a regional charity with a donation. This year, the amount of 10,000 euros once again goes to the children’s project Arche in Munich Moosach. With this, the family-owned company supports socially disadvantaged families in the currently particularly difficult financial situation.
(Tegernsee) Loxxess AG, a medium-sized logistics company specializing in complex logistics and value-added services with its headquarters in Tegernsee, presents this year’s Christmas donation of 10,000 euros to the recreational facility Arche in the Munich Moosach district. In light of rising inflation and increased living costs, Loxxess aims to support particularly socially disadvantaged children and families in Germany.
The Arche Children’s Foundation, a Christian children’s and youth organization, is committed to improving the living conditions of children and young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Nationwide, around 4,000 young people benefit from the offerings of Arche. At the location in northern Munich, there are about 120. The diverse offerings are free for children and young people as well as their families. These include a full, warm meal daily, homework assistance, and tutoring, as well as recreational activities with other children tailored to individual needs. Among other things, open sports activities, crafting, excursions, birthday parties, and holiday camps are offered. In this way, young people are encouraged to discover and develop their abilities, build a healthy self-esteem, establish and maintain relationships with others, and deepen their academic learning processes. In addition to social pedagogical support, there is a wide range of counseling and activities specifically for parents.
Child Poverty in Germany is Increasing
“Child poverty in Germany is increasing, while basic necessities are currently becoming more expensive. As a charitable organization, we want to provide children and young people at Arche with support and assistance that enables participation in social life. The youngest members of society must not be forgotten in times of crisis. They are the society of tomorrow. This cannot be emphasized enough. We are grateful that Loxxess is once again providing us with funds for our work,” says Larissa Rauter, director of Arche Munich.
Giving Back to the Community
“As a family business rooted in the region, we want to give something back to the community. Children and young people should be able to develop their interests and strengths and pursue their dreams. With great respect, we again support the Arche project, which has already provided important assistance during the Corona pandemic and now in the economically difficult situation for families,” says Dr. Claus-Peter Amberger.
