16. March 2023TALKE, provider of logistics solutions for the chemical industry, once again emphasizes the highest standards in safety and environmental protection: With the renewal of its fleet of tractor units (SZM) for the transport fleets in Germany, Poland, and Luxembourg, the company underscores its commitment to greater safety and sustainability in road traffic.
(Hürth) In the coming weeks, TALKE will renew around 150 SZM in its fleet. This week, the company is putting the first five SZM of the Actros L model from Mercedes Benz into operation. These vehicles are equipped with the latest safety systems, such as the new Sideguard Assistant, which detects pedestrians and initiates an automated braking process to a complete stop if necessary. Acoustic and visual warnings of hazards when turning are also displayed. In addition, all tractor units are equipped with turning assistants, distance-regulating cruise control, Active Brake Assist, attention assistants, and other safety systems that meet TALKE’s high safety standards. Besides safety features, TALKE also places great importance on sustainability. The current series of the Actros has a significantly improved drive, while fuel consumption decreases by up to 4% compared to the previous engine. This significantly reduces the CO₂ emissions of the new TALKE fleet. Additionally, a newly developed and integrated exhaust control system ensures the best compromise between efficient combustion and AdBlue consumption.
“We are proud to expand our fleet with the latest and safest models from Mercedes Benz,” says TALKE Managing Director Christoph Grunert. “Investing in the latest technology demonstrates our commitment to the highest safety and environmental standards. By renewing our fleet of tractor units, we are making an important contribution to greater safety on the roads and environmental protection.” TALKE will continuously put more tractor units into operation in the coming weeks and months, ensuring that the fleet remains state-of-the-art.
