Palletspace digitizes booking of pallet storage spaces
15. August 2024GREIWING logistics for you GmbH is expanding its collaboration with Westlake Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG. The company is a global market leader in the production of PVC specialties. Since August 1, the Greven logistics specialist has been responsible for the bagging and silo loading for the PVC manufacturer in the Burghausen chemical park, thereby expanding the collaboration that has existed since 2012. Over the past twelve years, GREIWING has provided on-site logistics services for packaged and bulk PVC goods in the chemical parks of Burghausen and Gendorf.
(Greven/Burghausen) “Westlake Vinnolit is an important customer for us, with whom we have been working in partnership for over a decade. We are proud of the renewed vote of confidence that the company has shown us with the expansion of the contract,” says Matthias Geiss, Managing Director of GREIWING logistics for you GmbH. What began in 2012 as a collaboration limited to ten years was extended early in 2018 due to high mutual satisfaction. Initially, the Greven specialist for complete solutions in silo logistics was responsible for handling packaged goods and expanded its services to bulk goods in 2016. In 2018, GREIWING established an external warehouse at the Burghausen site at the container terminal, where the logistics service provider stores bulk and packaged PVC goods from Westlake Vinnolit.
Since 2016, the Greven family business has been responsible for Westlake Vinnolit for the bagging of polyvinyl chloride by emulsion polymerization (E-PVC) and by suspension polymerization (S-PVC) in 25-kilogram bags including palletizing and the loading of bulk goods into silo trains at the Gendorf site. In the future, this will also be carried out at the Burghausen site. The tasks in the bagging area include the control and monitoring of the systems as well as the incoming and reloading of pallets. In silo train loading, GREIWING is responsible for processing through the loading point control and the process control system, as well as for filling the silo vehicles. The collaboration is initially planned until 2029.
Partnership and Reliable Collaboration
Thomas Kufner, site manager of Burghausen at Westlake Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG, is pleased about the expansion of the service package: “GREIWING has convinced us from the very beginning with the high quality of their services as well as with a partnership and reliable collaboration. We are confident that we can again count on the usual high quality for the newly added services.”
