Schmitz Cargobull Expands Production in Vreden
28. September 2024Cargo Trans Logistik (CTL) and T+S Helmrath Logistik GmbH are intensifying their collaboration. As part of this, the freight cooperation connects the T+S Helmrath location in Wilsdruff to its regional HUB in Leipzig. This allows CTL to significantly reduce the delivery distance and shipping costs for the Dresden area.
(Homberg/Wilsdruff/Bingen) Additionally, a new line will be established between the Regional HUB Düsseldorf and the T+S Helmrath location in Bingen. This expands the catchment area of CTL’s regional HUBs in Düsseldorf and Leipzig, increasing their efficiency and performance.
“The decision by T+S Helmrath to fully integrate its new location into CTL is a confirmation of the clear development and growth strategy that the network has pursued for many years. Through this cooperation, we gain a strong partner depot that reduces delivery distances in the region by over 50 kilometers,” emphasizes CTL CEO Francesco De Lauso. The distances now belong to the shortest delivery category, which simultaneously reduces shipping costs to Dresden.
Expanded Collaboration Around Mainz
Furthermore, both partners are deepening their collaboration in the (south-)west of the country: A new line will be established at the CTL Regional HUB Düsseldorf to the T+S location in Bingen. “Through the expanded cooperation, we can connect the area around Bingen, Mainz, and Wiesbaden to the West HUB. This positions us even broader and more efficiently for the future in this region,” adds De Lauso.
Services Along the Supply Chain
T+S Helmrath Logistik GmbH offers comprehensive services along the entire supply chain. On one hand, it provides classic transport services with over 40 of its own trucks. On the other hand, it handles the picking, packaging, and storage of goods in block and shelf warehouses covering an area of more than 10,000 square meters. Additionally, it offers tailored solutions in the field of contract logistics.
Torsten Riotte, authorized signatory of T+S Helmrath GmbH, summarizes the mutual benefits as follows: “For us, expanding the partnership with CTL is the next logical step in our collaboration, through which we have been able to unleash new forces together. For our desired growth, even beyond our region, strong partnerships are essential. Thanks to CTL, we can rely on a comprehensive freight network, while they benefit from our regional presence. We can now leverage these synergies even more.”
