Lufthansa Cargo Names New Fleet Addition “¡Hola Argentina!”
27. April 2025While the international logistics industry meets at Transport Logistic, Logistics Reply focuses on an often-overlooked area: Dock & Yard Management. With GaliLEA, the company brings artificial intelligence exactly where it has hardly been used so far – to the yard and the ramp.
(Turin) The multi-agent AI platform is part of the cloud-native Supply Chain Suite LEA Reply™ and supports processes such as the registration of deliveries, scheduling time slots, and organizing yard logistics.
GaliLEA combines several AI-powered agents that access real-time data through standardized interfaces – such as delivery schedules, ramp occupancy, or carrier information. This intelligent architecture has already proven itself in the warehouse management of many companies. In the area of Dock & Yard, it also ensures that complex processes can be made significantly simpler, more transparent, and more efficient.
Questions like “How many deliveries do we expect today by 4 PM?” or “How do I optimally plan the time slots at the receiving ramps to coordinate deliveries efficiently?” can be asked directly in natural language. GaliLEA provides the appropriate answer, creates dashboards, or automatically generates a support ticket – all without manual system queries. The platform uses RESTful APIs, real-time data streaming, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to link internal system data with knowledge from large language models.
Easier Operation, Faster Processes, Fewer Queries
The advantages are clear: GaliLEA reduces the complexity of existing IT systems and creates an intuitive access to information. At the same time, the platform ensures greater transparency in deliveries and pickups – even across multiple locations. Especially for administrative staff and operational managers, this means: Data can be queried independently, dashboards can be created quickly, and support tickets can be initiated automatically. This saves time, improves decision quality, and facilitates the onboarding of new employees.
Need for Improvement in Yard and Ramp Booking
“We clearly feel that many companies still have a need for improvement in yard and ramp booking. Especially in this area, analog methods are often still used,” says Alexander Edelmann, Associate Partner at Logistics Reply. “With GaliLEA, we create an intelligent access to system information – not only in the warehouse but also in the yard. The integration of AI gives digitalization a noticeable boost here.”
Soon, GaliLEA will be expanded with the Insights Agent, which detects deviations, analyzes historical and current data, and provides concrete recommendations for action. This will allow delays in the unloading process or unused ramp capacities to be systematically identified and targeted for resolution. At the same time, Logistics Reply is exploring the use of visual AI for monitoring swap body spaces in collaboration with Axulus Reply (a sister company within the Reply Group). This information is also expected to be accessible via GaliLEA in the future.
Process Support Does Not End at the Warehouse Gate
The continuous development of the AI platform strengthens the holistic approach of the LEA Reply™ Suite – and shows: Intelligent process support does not end at the warehouse gate but goes beyond that today.
