May 15, 2025 at 4:29 PMThe Nagel-Group has gained a significant new client in the Eggers & Franke Group, one of the leading German distribution companies for premium spirits, wines, and sparkling wines. The collaboration will encompass complete logistical support – from storage and transport to individual value-added services.
(Hamburg/Bremen) At the beginning of the year, the Nagel-Group took over all warehousing activities for Eggers & Franke, integrating around 45,000 pallet spaces at the logistics location in Hammersbach. The next milestone will follow on May 1, 2025: the takeover of the entire transport business by the Nagel-Group.
“With the Nagel-Group, we have chosen a strategic partner that understands our high quality standards and supports our growth with intelligent logistics solutions,” says Norman Brüggemann, General Manager Operations at the Eggers & Franke Group. “Centralizing our activities in Hammersbach provides us with optimal conditions to make our processes more efficient, scalable, and customer-oriented.”
The focus of the new partnership is on the comprehensive optimization of B2C processes, both through higher automation using robotics and through a consistent streamlining of processes. Additionally, all operations will be migrated to the CAL-Suite, the Nagel-Group’s proprietary software ecosystem.
“The collaboration with Eggers & Franke marks an important strategic step for us,” emphasizes Carsten Taucke, CEO of the Nagel-Group. “We not only offer a powerful infrastructure but also highly specialized value-added services, from vintage management and quality assurance to repackaging in elegant gift boxes. Our goal is to make logistics a growth driver for our clients.”
Intelligent Consolidation
With this collaboration, the Nagel-Group will take on complete logistical responsibility for Eggers & Franke. This also includes the intelligent consolidation of e-commerce orders, allowing shipments to be bundled and delivered more sustainably. Another central component is co-packing at the Hammersbach location: Here, not only will products be packaged and repackaged, but also consolidated before being shipped to end customers – an ideal prerequisite for the demanding distribution of high-quality gourmet products.
