1. July 2025Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has opened a new, state-of-the-art contract logistics center in Truganina, Australia. With this sustainability-focused location, the company doubles its warehouse capacity in the Melbourne metropolitan area and further strengthens its market position in the Asia-Pacific region.
(Osnabrück/Melbourne) This marks another strategic step for Hellmann on its international growth path, offering both existing and potential new customers a wide portfolio of innovative and sustainable logistics solutions.
Hellmann has been represented in Australia since 1987 and expanded its presence just a year later with an additional branch in New Zealand. Today, the logistics provider operates a total of seven locations in major metropolitan areas in Australia and New Zealand, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, as well as Auckland and Christchurch, offering comprehensive full-service logistics solutions across the entire supply chain. With this strong presence in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region, Hellmann underscores its role as an international logistics partner for customized, digital, and sustainable supply chain solutions. The new location in the Melbourne region complements this offering by providing flexible and scalable logistics solutions for customers from various industries, including automotive, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, as well as other consumer goods.
With an area of approximately 19,000 m², 18,000 pallet spaces, and modern warehouse and inventory management systems, the location offers ideal conditions for efficient logistics processes. In terms of sustainability, Hellmann also sets a clear signal with the new location: the facility aims for a 5-star Green Star As-Built certification. Features include a 200 kW solar system, 30,000-liter rainwater tanks, and ten charging stations for electric vehicles – measures that underscore the company’s ecological commitment.
“With the new location in the Melbourne metropolitan area, we strengthen our presence in Australia and lay the foundation for even more flexible and efficient logistics solutions,” says Mark Fitzpatrick, Regional COO Contract Logistics APAC, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. “The combination of strategic location, modern infrastructure, and a comprehensive service offering provides real added value for our customers.”
